Can you tell me what causes the Positive terminal on the battery to form corrosion rapidly? I have cleaned it off 3 times and even covered it with a light layer of grease, but it continues to form the powdery corrosion.
It's good that you are keeping your terminals clean, as this will prolong the life of your battery.
I would suggest that you go to an automotive store and pick up a terminal spray.
Make sure that your battery cables are tight on the posts also. Using a mixture of baking soda and water will neutralize the buildup too.
The buildup occurs from the acid gases escaping from the battery and forming the white powder. It could have to do with the climate you're in or just this battery. The main thing is that you keep it clean.
Try the battery terminal spray and see if this doesn't help. My battery is the same way, so I just make sure I clean it on a regular basis. Good luck.
