When purchasing a car in MD, is the sales tax calculated on the dealer's sale price or after the amount of your trade in is deducted and any rebates from the manufacturer?

Jenny Trostel, Partner at Anderson of Hunt Valley In Maryland, the sales tax is calculated on the selling price of the car. There is no deduction for trade in allowance.
