Why does my gas pedal get stuck when pushed all the way and the engine makes knocking sound? Also all the oil leaked out.
Answers from the Automotive Experts
Dear Antoinette,
There is no way anyone can diagnose your gas pedal or knocking engine without seeing your car.
But, all the oil leaked out of your car is a really bad thing and may have caused some major damage.
The only way to find out what is wrong is to take it to a repair shop for a proper diagnosis.
Tell them you only want to know what is wrong and get an estimate on what it would take to fix it. Tell them not to do any repair work until they speak with you first.
Best of Luck,

Antoinette,
Your gas pedal could be getting stuck because you have a problem with the throttle cable or the throttle plate. Or, it could be getting stuck on the carpet. This is a big safety issue and I suggest you get that looked at ASAP. The knocking sound from your engine could very well have something to do with the oil leak. If you don't have enough oil in your engine, serious damage could result. Without more information, I can't tell you where your oil leaked from or how to repair it. You should definitely have your vehicle looked at by a professional.
