My warranty I bought on my used 2001 Kia Sportage is up Nov 11/07. I have 71500 miles on it. It has been in the shop few times in the last 2 months for repairs on a fan clutch, valve cover and door lock. Should I keep it after Nov? What kind of problems or repairs could anticipate down the road?

Hi Dorothy,
My personal opinion... If you can afford to trade it in and get brand new car or even a newer vehicle with less miles, do it.
Some make and models seem to last longer then others with out a lot of problems and this is not one of them.

Dorothy,
It's near impossible to predict all problems a vehicle can have down the road. I wouldn't necessarily sell a car just because it is out of warranty. Make sure you keep up on your scheduled maintenance. Check your owner's manual for this schedule. If you haven't replaced your timing belt yet, it is probably due soon. Staying on top of your maintenance will help to prevent a lot of costly repairs later on.
