Hi,
My manual transmission on a 1990 Toyota Corola is quite sticky and it\\\*s getting worse. Would a transmission oil change help it? Should I do anything else on this old car?

Dear Barbara,
You can always do a transmission fluid change. You may want to try putting a synthetic oil in when you change it. I know that my transmission seemed smoother when I did. It's up to you. It will cost a little more for the oil.
The other thing I would have checked is the clutch pedal adjustment. Sometimes the reason you have trouble putting it in gear is that the rod for the clutch master just needs to be adjusted so that the clutch gets properly engaged.
The clutch on my 1988 Toyota truck lasted 235,000 miles! Good Luck.
