The sunroof on my 2001 Nissan Maxima stopped working after my battery died. I replaced the battery, and the sunroof still does not work. I\*ve read information on the web, where they say the sunroof needs to be recycled, but I cannot find out how to recycle it. The car manual does not offer any insight. The sunroof recently opened to about 1 inch. It will not close; it does not make noise or move. I really need to close the sunroof before the rain floods the car. Your help is greatly appreciated.
In the repair procedure I only saw a memory reset for the Pathfinder. You may want to take a look at the fuse for the sunroof and see if it's burned out.
Use your owner's manual to find this. Also check and see if there is a way to manually close your roof, this would also be in your owner's manual. It usually involves putting a handle in a slot near the inside of the sunroof and cranking it closed. A lot of vehicles have this feature. The tool would be with your tool kit if it's available. At least the roof would be closed until you can get it to the dealership. Good luck.
