2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara-how do i replace the fan belt in the rear? front belt is still on,

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Mikki, It looks like there are 2 belts on your vehicle. One that is very big and routes over many pulleys...that's the serpentine belt. Then there is a smaller one that is only for the fan. To remove that one you must loosed the fan bolt. The tricky part is putting the belt on and making sure you get the belt tight. If you haven't done this before, I would suggest that you take your vehicle to and ASE certified shop or dealer to have this work done. You don't want to put the belt on too loose or too tight as it may cause damage. Good Luck. Lori Johnson
