Hi Lori, thanks for the answer. I
only hear it when the engine is on, and it sounds like its coming from t e
steering column. It's kinda a chirp beep, sort of the sound the security
system makes when you activate it, but its one chirp then about a minute pause
and it chirps again, its about at one minute intervals, until you shut the
engine off....its doens't sound like a squeak....its definitely a

I did find a TSB (technical service bulletin) that talks about a chime that sounds normally when the vehicle goes over 80 mph. There have been cases where this chime is defective and goes off whenever the vehicle is moving in forward or reverse.
My suggestion would be to contact the dealership and see if this could be your problem. The TSB number is 08-02-97.
