By telling me the heat doesn't work, do you mean that the air blowing from the vents is cool, or there is no air blowing?
The heater in the vehicle uses the coolant to heat the vehicle. Since you don't have heat in the vehicle it sounds like there may be a blockage somewhere in the system. It may be that coolant isn't getting to the heater core inside the vehicle, so you don't have heat. Also, if something is blocked in the coolant system then the vehicle would run hot because the circulation is not working as it should. Hope this helps.
