Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Sylvia, When the engine sets a code there is a procedure that must be followed to properly fix the problem. This is a step by step procedure that eliminates items that are working and not part of the problem. If you have a service manual for your vehicle I would suggest that you follow this procedure for this code, otherwise you may be spending money on parts that are not really bad. If you are unsure how to proceed or don't have a service manual then I would recommend that you take it to the dealership. They may know right away what the problem is since they are working on these vehicles every day. Lori Johnson
