I have a 2000 Mazda Protege. Occasionally when I stop, I hear a noise (more like a thud). It sounds like it is coming from my right front wheel area. It does not happen all the time. Any suggestions on what it is or if I should get it checked?

Dear Kristine,
You should definitely have this noise checked out. It could be something in your suspension, or possibly your brakes. Getting it looked at now may save you expensive repairs down the road. Take it to an ASE certified shop or a dealership and drive with them to make sure they're hearing the noise you're describing. Good luck.
