Will you answer a hushand*s question? My wife (Elayne) and I are retired living in Florida, own a Toyota Camry with almost a hundred thousand miles on it and we fear upcoming expensive repair bills, so feel we will soon have to purchase another car. Living on social security we cannot afford anything over $20,000, have friends who share seating room, and would like to get a minivan that will seat 6 people. The new Kia 07.Rondo runs around $16,000 within our price range, but we are afraid of it, not being familiar with it. Do you have advice for us? Would appreciate it. THanks. MOrris

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Patty Streeter, at I think you should compare and test drive the Chevy HHR, Dodge Caliber and Toyota Matrix which are in the same class and price range as the KIA Rondo before you decide. This is the first year for thi KIA Rondo vehicle and there is no data or history to speak of to determine if this is a good choice or not. Best to buy a make/model that has been out for at least 1 -2 years with reviews from consumers available to weigh gainst your decision.
