I was just told that my tie rod-ons are loose on my 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. They are not yet ready to pop out but are beginning to damage my new tires. The cost to repair and re-align the vehicle is $615. Does this sound legitimate?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Patty Streeter, at AskPatty.com It is unusal for all the tie rods to be bad at the same time on such a new vehicle. $615.00 does sound high for the repairs you are describing . Get a second opinion from an authorized Mitsubishi dealership or contact a Blue Seal ASE certified repair shop. You can locate one here: http://www.ase.com/bluesealsearch/locator.php
