Suddenly, my 2000 Dodge Durango started making a whining or humming noise on the expressway. Took it to Sears, they told me to take it to the dealers, as the rear end was leaking fluids. Can you give me more information? Thank you.
It sounds like your rear end seal may be leaking. It's best to get that checked out right away. The noise you're hearing are the gears spinning without lubrication.
That's not a good thing, because this could cause damage. Get it to a shop so that they can fix the leak and get gear oil back in there before it gets damaged.
