A single mom of 5 has asked about buying a used 2001, Chrysler Town and Country van with 73,000 miles in good shape for $7000. Is this a fair deal?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Patty Streeter, at AskPatty.com Sue, It really depends on the condition it is in and what options are installed, as well as the trim level. You should look up the value on www.kbb.org to verify if it is a good deal. A 2001 Chrysler T&C with 73,000 miles and at the lowest trim level is valued at $10, 815 in "excellent" condition (which most are not). This site will give you a more accurate depiction of what the vehicle's value is. If it is in great condition, it seems like the price is good. Good Luck!
