While out and about tonight my turn signal (shifter) just broke. At least it is not tight in the column. Is this a fairly easy fix on a Chevy Corsica or is just cheaper to take it in to be fixed? Approximate cost/time for repair??
Depending on what is wrong, your whole steering column may have to be torn apart and it may take a couple of hours to fix and cost around $200-250.00. But to really know, you need to take it to a trained mechanic for a diagnosis.

The steering wheel must be removed for this repair, and a professional should do
this repair. We can't quote you what the repairs would be for your vehicle or situation but the approximate cost could be between $200 and $250, depending on area labor
rates and if the vehicle has a tilt steering wheel. Of course, the figures could vary greatly depending on different factors with your vehicle.
I would suggest you take it to an ASE certified technician in your area to get it checked out. You can find one near you by gong here:
