I drive a 1992 Acura Integra with about 95,000 miles on it. Recently, when making hard turns, I hear a "squealing" noise, like the tires are rubbing against the inside of the fenders. My service center guy says he thinks the strut plates are worn but would need to disassemble that area to know for sure. I think it may be related to needing new shocks. Can you give me some insight?

Dear Sharyn,
The strut plates definately could be making the sound. You do have a lot of miles on your vehicle, so it's very possible this is the problem.
The other thing you could check it possible brake noise, but if you're only hearing it on hard turns I would say your tech is looking in the right direction.
