I'm planning to buy a used vehicle, probably truck or suv, capable of pulling a small boat4000 lbs.once or twice a month. Also would like good gas mileage and possibility of taking passengers on short trips. I was thinking of a Toyota Tacoma or suvs. Have seen a toyota Tacoma, 125K for $8000. Would it be better to go for less mileage more money? Can you recommend a vehicle? I don't want to go to the $20,000 range. Thanks.

The mileage on that Tacoma isn't bad at all, as long as the vehicle has been properly maintained according to the manufacturer's specifications and has received timely and appropriate service. Before you buy a used vehicle, be sure to run a Carfax report on it.
For your used car research, be sure to check out the used car sites out there, like:
AutoExtra
http://www.autoextra.com/
AutoTrader
http://www.autotrader.com/
and Cars.com
http://www.cars.com/
You can search by make and model at all of those sites to see what is available. Again, run a Carfax report on any car you are thinking of buying.
