When buying a car is what the car dealer refers as the list price the same as the MSRP. So on a Camry with a list price of 22,000,how much of an offer do I make?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Jenny Trostel, Partner at Anderson of Hunt Valley That is a difficult questions to answer without all the details of the car options. If you go to, you will get a good idea about the price of the car. MSRP and list are 2 different prices. Is this a car that the dealer has in stock or are you asking them to locate the car and have it shipped in for you? I would offer $21,500 for the car but be prepared to negotiate. Good luck!

Joy Sherman, Owner at Ms. Motorcars Hi, You probably should do some research and shop at least two dealers. Compare prices. It's not that hard to find cost for a car on the internet...this will help you decide how much to offer. Best, Joy Sherman, Ms Motorcars
