My husband and I are currently looking for a new (used) minivan. We now own a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan which has been nothing but trouble from the time it was just over a year old (including a bearing disintigrating in the engine when I was driving on the freeway with my 3 kids). We just want something safe that is easy to maintain with good gas mileage. I prefer to own a car for about 10 years. My husband has done some research and says that the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna are the best for the money. I wasn't that thrilled with the Sienna when we rented one. I test drove the 2004 Honda Odyssey. It was okay except the driver seat was very uncomfortable. Do you have any recomendations? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

You can do side by side comparisons by going to www.jdpower.com/autos. There you can compare prices, features, safety ratings and crash test ratings.
Take a look at the Nissan Quest and Dodge Grand Caravan as well , they are comparable with the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna.
There are also crossovers ( mini van/wagon) like the Ford Freestyle and Chrysler Pacifica that are worth a look!
The Honda Element, Pontiac Aztek and Buick Rendevous also have there place in the family car of choice.
