I have a 1994 Chevy Lumina that when first starting it, the rpm goes to 1500 then it comes back down to 1000, but then takes a long time to drop back down below a 1000rpm. Need suggestions on what I can do?

Patty Streeter,  at Check for a dirty air filter and have an inpection done to determine if you need a fuel injection service otherwise it sounds fairly normal. Be sure to take your vehicle to an ASE Blue Seal certified repair or service facility or an authorized Chevrolet dealership. You can locate an ASE Blue Seal certified serive center here:
