I have a 1994 Chevy Lumina that when first starting it, the rpm goes to 1500 then it comes back down to 1000, but then takes a long time to drop back down below a 1000rpm. Need suggestions on what I can do?

Check for a dirty air filter and have an inpection done to determine if you need a fuel injection service otherwise it sounds fairly normal.
Be sure to take your vehicle to an ASE Blue Seal certified repair or service facility or an authorized Chevrolet dealership.
