Alarms work through sensors that detect things like, a door, hood or trunk being open. It sounds like there may be a problem with the wiring or a sensor that's telling the alarm system something is open and that sets off the alarm. The lights inside can come on because the alarm system automatically illuminates the interior of the vehicle for safety. You should take the vehicle to the dealership if the alarm was factory installed, or back to the service station that installed the alarm if it's aftermarket.
