Answers from the Automotive Experts

Jamey Wozniak, Owner and CEO at Joe's Hitch, Trailer & Truck Accessories Finbar - this is a serious light to pay attention to - as it is telling you that something is wrong with your ABS (anti-lock braking system) and may not work in a panic situation. This should be repaired immediately.

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Finbar, The ABS system is a feature that works with your regular braking system. If the ABS light is on it means that there is a problem with the ABS system and you need to get it looked at. Your regular brake system will continue to work without the ABS system. This is why the braking feels fine to you. If you had to stop hard and suddenly, you'd notice that the ABS would not be working. I'd recommend that you take it to a dealership so that they can connect the proper tool to diagnose the problem. Lori
