Just purchased used 2002 BMW 330i. Warranty expired 3 weeks prior to sale. Now, rear passenger window will not operate. Will this be an expensive repair and is it possible to find reasonably price extended warranty? Thanks.
On my RX300 I had a problem with rear passenger
window not going up or down and my Mechanic oiled the window motor for me and it
works great now. No more problems but best of all no charge. You need to find
someone you can build a relationship with and then all these things are not so
big some really are easy, fast fixes.

Electrical is never fun - but this should be able to be repaired at a reasonable
price. I'd suggest checking with the dealer to see if there is a TSB (technical
service bulletin) if so it could be repaired for free. Otherwise an ASE
certified MASTER technician can fix it for you.

Most repairs on BMWs are expensive. Check with the local dealer. do not purchase an "off brand extended warranty" without checking what BMW has to offer. Many times these are very difficult to actually collect from and you must be buyer beware!
If you are going to keep the vehicle for an extended time, don't wait until later to check the possibility of an EXC, the older the car and the higher the mileage the higher the costs.
