The fan for the ac and heater does not come on. the defrost does not work. The only heat if I go a distance is from the vent. I would like to try and fix it on my own and am on a limited income so a mechanic is sorta not an option. thank you

In the morning when we first use the car it runs great until the car warms up then when we stop at a red light the car doesn't want to go. From 0 to 20 mph, the rpms go to 3 sometimes 4 -- and if we take our foot off the gas, the car kicks in and then drives normal until we stop again. After it get past 20 mph it drives great.
I was told I have a leaking strut and was given a price quote on all four struts. My question is, if the leaking strut is a front one can i just replace the two front ones or if it's a rear, same question. Why do they want me to change all four?
