I have an 03 Jetta. I was not sure if I should have the oil change place replace my transmission fluid. They suggested it, but I was not sure if I really needed it. I have about 81k miles on it now.
Also, it made me wonder about tune ups...when should I do that? I don't think I have ever had either of these things done before.

The automatic gear shift on my 2003 Toyota Camry has started locking up and I cannot drive. The AAA guy gave me a temporary solution (he showed me a small area to the left of the gear shift that was hidden, opened it up and when I press it down, the gear shift moves. Why is the car doing this-can you tell me? Any idea what it should cost to repair?
My beater Honda has 207,400 miles on it and is probably is not worth much more than $2000 because of the cosmetic condition inside and out. It needs a new timing belt and rear struts. I just had new front brakes put in for $560. Three estimates average the work for the timing belt/water pump, and struts out to be about $1150. At this point I am not sure ...
