I was told my tires were dry-cracked. What does that mean?
I went to the dealership for winter tire removal & was told that I should replace my front brake (only 10% left). Also that I should have the back brake washed (has 80% left). I know I must replace the front brake (about $500), but what about the washing? Is that necessary?

Where is the ETS sensor located on this vehicle? The ETS "Check Engine" light came on 3 days ago and the gears seem to shift hard and change from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and so on. It is an automatic transmission, the fluid is clean and I have never had any problems with the transmission. Is it possible that the ETS sensor would cause this hard shifting?
What are the best all season tires for a 2008 City Jetta? Highway driving approx 80 kms per day/ 5 days a week
My 2005 Toyota Corolla has 41,055 miles on it, so I am averaging a bit over 5,000 miles per year. I have been taking it in for an oil change about every 6 months and I think my husband took it in for 1 (or 2) tune up. Is there general guidelines on how often (in miles or months) my car should get a tune up and oil change?
