I have a 1989 Honda Accord LX (carbureted) and when the car has sat for a more than (3) hours it has a hard time getting enough power for the car to get up to 2000 RPM's (It needs to in order to warm up then the idle is supposed to drop off which it does once it warms up).
The car shudders and really fights to get the idle up I have a new battery.

I have 1989 Honda accord Lxi, I was driving n had to turn around n engine revved up n motor hot n transmission would not engage! I let car cool down n it would engage fine. ... so can engine over heating cause transmission to not work or can tranny not working cause motor to overheat?
What would cause my battery to be dead 15 minutes after shutting it off. I jump start it drive an hour or so shut it off have to jump it again
The car has 127,000 miles--Took it in for a tune up. They did spark plugs, fuel filter and rear brake pads and rotors. They even replaced a brake light (I took in the bulb) and charged me $570.00--WOW!! I was shocked They said parts were 155.70 Labor 412.80. I had trusted this place.
I just had new front and rear brakes replaced. I hear a squeak when I am riding the brakes in traffic. What could be wrong?
