Hi Ladies - In about a year my lease will be up on my gas-guzzling Jeep Grand Cherokee. I want to do either the hybrid thing or at least get something fuel efficient. I need a decent cargo room 'cause I have two big dogs. If there's any accepted wisdom on hybrids that you all have I'd be happy to hear it. I'm also trying to be somewhat economical on ...
My front brakes were noisy and I took my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a look. What was supposed to be a "99.00" brake job has suddenly become a $600+ brake overhaul. The service adviser is telling me I need calipers, hoses, brake rotors, and pads. This sounds extreme for a vehicle with less than 50,000 miles. What do you think?
A couple of years ago I traded my older Benz for a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee...all because I moved to the mountains in the Vail Valley. The problem is I really hate, yes hate, the center console. There is no place to put my purse when I have a passenger or two. I end up having to put it in the back seat which makes no sense at all to me. Suggestion to ...
My l997 Jeep Grand Cherokee V-8 has begun lurching and the tach revs to 2 or 3 while driving along at 60-70 mph, it's as if the gas is being depressed off and on. What would be the problem?
We have moved to a new town. I've recently had my 1997, Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 6 cylinder, 2 wheel drive, serviced by a Jeep dealer. I have 128,000+ miles on this car and have been the sole owner, have had great service prior to my move from an independent car mechanic. The (new) dealer/service dept. recommends repairs to a cracked exhaust manifold ...
I have a 2000 Jeep Frand Cherokee - My heater went out. The work needed to fix was a blend door and actuator. Cost about $850 from my mechanic. I understand Jeep would have charged $1200. I have read that this happens all the time with Jeep and that it actually should have been a recall item but Jeep didn*t want to fork out that much money. Should I ...
I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherakee with heated seats. The driver side is not working. I went to a dealership and they told me I needed a Whole New Heating system. Is this true or are there ways to test things to not be a DUMB Female? Thanks

My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee shakes or \"shimmys\" up and down, when I am braking. This happens especially as I am slowing from a high-speed (freeway driving). I only have about 27,000 miles on my Jeep - could I already need new brakes?
I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and just had the emergency brake go out. I have called around to different car repair and dealerships but noone can give me a ballpark figure as to how much it would be to repair/replace. I understand this is a problem with the Jeeps and wondered who I could go to with the problem to get it resolved.
I am trying to change the crank position sensor on my jeep.Do you know where it is located?
My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo tends to pull towards the right. I replaced all four wheels earlier this year but I still feel like it does this. Am I supposed to get it aligned more frequently? And if so, how frequently?

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with almost 70,000 on it. I have heard that when they start to get high mileage they are unreliable. Is this true? In the past two months I have invested some money in it with front and rear brakes and four new tires so I am reluctant at this point to trade it in. What do you think?

I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee & have replaced the fan relay switch for the 4th time. The switch seems to last about 4-6 months but this last time it lasted 1 week & there is a black mark on one of the connectors. What do you think the problem could be? car runs great at high speed but sometimes when I am coming to a stop or going real slow, it will die on me.
