To break down stereotype and encourage women entering, or re-entering, the workforce to look at careers in the retail automotive industry, the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) has planned an automotive career networking event for women. The free program, which includes a panel discussion by women who have excelled in the industry and workshops that focus on safety and car care, will take place at the Center for Automotive Education & Training, at 15-30 Petracca Place, Whitestone, Queens, on Saturday, November 3rd from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"This is a great way to learn about the many rewarding automotive careers now available to women. Responsible, hard-working individuals will find great opportunities and a myriad of careers available at area auto dealerships," said Sheila Meyer, GNYADA Chairwomen.

Special guests include City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and AskPatty.com's Jody DeVere who will be joined by representatives from automobile dealerships for a panel discussion about jobs in the industry.
