Voxant, the New Media Network, announced today that it now has 234 licensed content affiliates, more than any other online syndication service of fully licensed news and information. The Voxant Newsroom provides more than 880,000 news and information assets, free of charge, to 11,500 Web publishers of niche communities, hyper-local news sites, and news and video aggregators. By pushing content to thousands of niche communities on the Web, rather than attempting to aggregate eyeballs to its own site, the Voxant network delivered more than 23 million ad impressions.
"Voxant enables news organizations to take advantage of what was once perceived as a major threat to its business model, online news delivery," explained Jeff Crigler, CEO of Voxant, "Our content and advertiser affiliates are now reaching a diverse set of targeted niche communities, from hockey to personal investing to hyper-local news sites. Our ability to continue to grow the number of high-caliber content providers, develop our network of Web publishers, and deliver a high click-through rate on pre-roll video ads demonstrates the strength of our business model."
Through the Voxant Newsroom (http://www.voxant.com), licensed content is monetized and syndicated to Web publishers, who embed news assets including video, audio, print, and still images. Voxant shares advertising revenue with content providers and Web publishers.
