Lauren Fix, the Car Coach®, and an internationally recognized car care expert, will join Ask Patty as a member of the automotive advisory panel of industry-expert women on Ask Patty.Com, Inc.

The enterprise version of the Ask Patty website at http://www.askpatty.com launched August 21, 2006 and provides a safe place for women to get advice on car purchases, maintenance and other automotive related topics online.

Lauren Fix is a nationally recognized automotive expert in car care, repair, safety issues, buying and selling new and used cars and trucks, and driving skills. She has written articles and been quoted in USA Today, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, Woman’s World, Esquire, First for Women, InTouch and Self. She is a contributing editor to Motor Trend, Truck Trend, Hot Rod, and Car Craft. In addition, Lauren is the Automotive Editor for YourLifeMagazine.com and author of three books, "Driving Ambitions: A Complete Guide to Amateur Auto Racing," "The Performance Tire and Wheel Handbook," and look for her new book, "Lauren Fix's Essential Guide To Car Smarts."

Lauren’s broadcast experience includes Oprah, The View, TODAY, The Early Show, CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, Headline News, Inside Edition, ESPN, Discovery, Speed, and NPR to name a few. Lauren is the host of Talk 2 DIY Automotive, on the Do-It-Yourself Network (DIY), providing in-depth demonstrations and tips for auto repair airing in its 4th season.

A member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) since 1982, Lauren is an ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified technician. She inherited her love of all things automotive from her father who owned a brake remanufacturing business. Lauren has been fixing, restoring and racing cars since the age of 10. Lauren has been the spokesperson for the Car Care Council's "Be Car Care Aware" program (http://www.carcare.org).

She has a bachelor's of science in Marketing from The University of Buffalo with concentrations in Engineering and Communications.

In her automotive advisory role, Fix will respond to questions from consumer women on automotive related topics via the website. The Ask Patty interactive advice blog launched May 22, 2006.
