"GM traditionally has done a better job than its competitors in targeting female consumers and using social media to reach buyers, said Jody DeVere, CEO of AskPatty.com, a blog and Web site that offers auto-related advice to women. "I see their strategy and that they're doing a lot of the right things, but they can do more," DeVere said. For example, GM could run ads featuring women behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Camaro, she said. "For a long time, automakers thought all women were soccer moms, which is just ridiculous," she said.
