Amanda “AJ” Pierce began her automotive ventures as a young child. As the only child of a serviceman, she used their bonding time working on the families hot rods in the back yard. In high school she broke the gender barrier in automotive class by being the first female to enter and complete the two-year program at Pender High School. Upon graduation Amanda
enrolled in the General Motors Automotive Excellency Program (GM, ASEP) and also being the first female to complete and graduate on September 11, 2002.

Amanda was a line mechanic for Rippy Automotive in Wilmington, NC, also presenting seminars to women leadership groups attending UNC Wilmington, until moving to Alaska due to an Army transfer.

Raising a child and attending classes to obtain her bachelors’ in business management from U of Phoenix, Amanda adopted the responsibility of educating the women of deployed soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan on basic automotive and how to take care of themselves while their husbands were away serving their country.

Amanda currently is a T-1 Certified AMSOIL Dealer and an associate with Fastenal, Inc. Since then, Amanda has obtained her BSBM and MBA, with hopes in opening her own custom motorcycle shop.
