I have a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix and I was curious to know how long hourly wise does it take to remove a old transmission and replace it with a rebuilt one? My car is at the shop getting its transmission repaired and it's been 10 days now. Just interested in knowing how much longer it will be, knowing that the mechanic just took out my old transmission yesterday?

I have a 1988 Toyota Camry LE By that keeps on stalling on me when it is stopped, left in drive, and idling. It happens anytime I have to slow down or at a light.

I have changed the air filter, cleaned the throttle body, and fuel filter. Most of the time it files fine in park. But sometimes it revs up to 3 or 4 rpm and when I shut it off the engine shakes a little and will have trouble starting. But eventually does start.

This started occurring when I had my oil changed over a year ago by Wal-Mart. They put the wrong oil filter in my car and it leaked oil for about 2 or 3 miles to my home. Due to the fact that this car is a 1988, I can not hook up a OBD II.

Does anyone know of a way to get a diagnostic reading on this car or what may be the issue? I refuse to take my car back to Wal-Mart. I have seen them set a car on fire on a lift because they do not know what they are doing.

We were driving on the freeway with my boyfriend's Dodge 2004 Stratus coupe sxt. We noticed the brake light turn on, but the brake was down and the battery light turned on but car was still running. The temperature turned towards hot, which caused some little smoke to come out, which we only noticed once we pulled over. What could be the problem? Read Answers

I have a 2001 mitsubishi galant that died and wont start. It will turn over but will not start. I checked to see if it was getting a spark and it was so I also checked or attempted to check the relay for the fuel pump but could not find it listed on fuse box cover. I had someone turn the key on while I was listening under the fuel tank for the fuel pump but heard nothing. What should I do and where is the fuel pump relay? Read Answers

My partner's 1985 Honda CRX has been without a functional horn since she bought it a couple years ago (i know, not a good idea, anyways...) This weekend, it started honking involuntarily and continuously to the point where she had to disconnect the battery to stop it. After looking at it, it appears someone had tampered with it-probably trying to steal something, maybe the whole car-they had pryed the horn housing/plate on the steering wheel up a noticeable amount and in doing so woke the dead horn. We did a cursory inspection of our options to remedy this issue and realized we can't connect the battery or the horn will blare and can't remove the fuse because that kills our brake lights. Advice? It is very cold where I live and I started my Astra one day and it would not rev up. Pressing accelerator never did a thing. I brought the car into the garage and put some Gas antifreeze in and got her all toasty warm. Now she starts and reves fine, but she then drops back t0 1500 rpm and will not rev again. She will astay going however at 1500rpm but she wont go pass that. I then shut her off and she will not start again. I thne wait for 20 minutes and go back and she will start. And I can rev her up but drops back to 1500 rpm and the whole process starts again. Read Answers
