my battery needed charged on my 2002 Ford Lincoln mercury sable sedan but I couldn't leave car for 2 hrs..had no way home..car would start with a 'jump' but the tech sais I needed a new battery..didn't have the money..the car was driven at least 20 miles a day about 3 days and suddenly wouldn't start even with a 'jump'...The old battery has been replaced with a new one..horn, radio, lghts work but car won't start ..WHY? could it be alternator or timing belt because battery wasn't replaced sooner than today?
