Answers from the Automotive Experts

Brandy Schaffels, Editor at AskPatty.com, Inc. Not typically: If you replace the battery with the engine not running, you may lose your radio presets. However, if you replace the battery while the engine is running, the car won't even notice that the battery had been disconnected. Auto Club has an excellent battery replacement service, they will come to your car and check the electrical system and replace the battery right there for you.
