The ABS light, check engine light, battery light and air bag light all came on yesterday at the same time. I had been driving the car earlier that day with no problem. I took my car to the local auto parts store and they told me I needed a new alternator. I had the alternator replaced, and when I firt picked up my car and began driving it was fine. After about 10 minutes however, the check engine light, battery light, ABS light and air bag light came on again. I called back to the repaair shop and they told me to bring the car back, but I can not understand what could be causing this and do not want to keep throwing good money after bad. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the outcome. Thank you in advance.

Helaine Kurot, Owner/Technician at 360 Automotive It is possible that the new alternator was defective. It happens. If so, this should be covered by the shop that supplied and installed the alternator.
