yes i just bought my accord a couple days ago and had to have my dad replace the water pump because it was leaking. now when i turn it on it revs up to 3000 rpm and stays there. what could have caused this?
The timing belt on this vehicle needs to be removed to replace the water pump. It sounds like the timing may be off a tooth or two. I would start with checking the timing marks first and making sure they are where they should be. If the timing is correct, a reputable repair shop should be able to diagnose and repair this issue.
