My 2009 4-cylinder Toyota Camry will not shift into 5th gear. It is an automatic transmission. This just started a few days ago. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Is the rpm higher than normal at highway speeds? A reputable shop will ask these questions and check for an external issues or internal issues. Road testing and Scanning with a scan tool are the first steps. All transmission work is not major. Get an estimate in writing. A professional diagnosis is worth paying for.
