The dash brake light in our kids' car a dodge stratus was on, but brakes seemed to be OK. I checked the fluid level, and it was low. I bought new DOT 3 fluid and filled to full line. Took the car out of the driveway to check and brakes went to floor! Now what?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amy Mattinat, Owner and Author at Auto Craftsmen Ltd Hi Bob, When the brake pedal goes to the floor, there is no brakes, and the Stratus should be towed to your regular auto technician to diagnose what the problem is and give you an estimate to fix it. Make sure the tow truck driver and the shop understand there are no brakes before they begin moving the vehicle.
