A few weeks ago my 91 laredo started over heating i replaced the thermostat and that worked for about a week until it started doing it again! It takes about 5 minutes of driving till it over heats but i can put my hand on the motor and its not hot?
You may want to perform a compression check, and ensure the internal components are functioning properly. You may have a cylinder head issue.

Have you checked the coolant level to see if you have a leak? If you Have sufficient coolant, have you checked to see if your cooling fan is working properly? It sounds as though the problem is in the cooling system, radiator, thermostat, hoses, fans, etc. I would check fan and belts first. If that fails, get reputable professional to look at it.
