Had a code 340 crankcase positioning sensor installed on my 2002 Dodge Dakota, but it still will not start.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Gail Dunn, Owner at Women's Automotive Connection Was this installed at a reputable shop? If so, did it start when you picked it up? If answer are yes, take it back to them and have them do the correct repair (assuming they have a warranty policy), If no, then I can only assume the code was misdiagnosed. Cam and Crankshaft sensor codes can be complicated. If it was DIY, take it to a reputable shop and find out what the real cause could be. The starter could also be the culprit.
