You may need to look at replacing your instrument cluster, and you check your signal bulbs and fuses. If you are needing to replace your instrument cluster you may be able to obtain one on-line more cost effectively than from a dealership.

Not having turn signals is a safety issue. Other drivers can not tell if you are going to turn. This is a recipe for an accident.
Not having a speedometer is not good as you could be speeding and you wouldn't know it.
It is highly likely they are connected. Fix one and I would guess the other would get fixed too.
Best take it in to a repair shop to have the problem diagnosed and get an estimate for the repair.

These are two separate problems. The turn signals can be a switch in your steering column. The speedometer has a cable attached that governs it. Both are going to need you to take it to a reparable shop to have them disassemble the components and determine the fix. Further, you said you bought it. Was it recent and have you talked to the seller? There may be some recourse there if it was very recent.

Check the fuses 1st otherwise they aren't related. There's a switch in the column for the turn signals that may need to be replaced & the speedo may need to be rebuilt.

Hi Nicole, On your 2000 Buick: If there is a check engine light on, the codes will be a first step in the diagnosis. Possible issues are blown fuse, relays, speedometer cluster etc.. A shop can help with complete diagnosis. Even if the check engine light is not on now, codes may be stored in memory. Good Luck.
