The Malfunction light just came on in my 2003 Volkswagen Jetta this morning, and I was wondering if I should be worried. I won't be able to take it to the mechanic until this weekend. Can I still drive it? I usually drive 20 miles each day to work.

Gelina Aquilina, Service Advisor / Mechanic at If the light isn't blinking and your car isn't running rough or having any drivability issues, you'll probably be fine until next week. Some places will check it for free. Call around & see if you can have it checked sooner for piece of mind.
