I have a 2002 Honda Accord Ex, 2.3 liter engine. I have 190,000 on the transmission but never change or had the transmission flushed as of yet. I am not sure if i should just do a drain and refill or a complete transmission flush. What you do you recommend i do?
If you have never touched your transmission fluid with that many miles on your vehicle, you do need to have your transmission fluid looked at. For a specific recommendation on your vehicle, I would suggest taking it to your local Ask Patty Certified Female Friendly auto repair shop and asking them for their recommendation. You can also look inside your owner's manual to see how often they recommendation changing your transmission fluid.

Please take caution when doing anything on your transmission that has not been maintained according to manufacturer's specifications. I have heard horror stories of people doing their first flush at extremely high mileage and then all of a sudden they need a completely new transmission. I would suggest the drain and refill at this point, because there's a possibility that a flush might shock the system and put you in the same situation that others have experienced in needing a whole new transmission. Best of luck!
