I started this night job were I have to use my edge for 8 hours while i`m on the job.the past 2 weekends I had to have my edge jumped because the battery went dead 6 hours into my shift, now last night at work about 6 hours into my shift when I started up my edge so the battery will not go dead all of a sudden my Check Engine light came on and since then it won`t go off, would this have anything to do with my battery going dead in the past 2 weeks and if not what do I need to do to get the check engine light off of my ford edge,it seems to run just as good as before this happened to the car,any ideas
You can visit your local auto parts store, where they may be able to hook up a diagnostic tester or free and help you read the code that is setting your check engine light. Having this done, can give you a benchmark to repair. As for the battery, you may have a dead cell and simply replace to prevent being stranded. Hoe this helps, and write back if you have any further questions.

You need to have the engine diagnosed which is done with a machine. This may also help to discover the problem. With the battery
