For past month, my Subaru Forester frequently seems to clunk/jump at slow speeds, mostly when I pull in/out of parking spot or driveway, when engine is still cold. It's also leaking what I presume is oil (brown fluid). The leak has gone on for 3 months, the clunky gear shift or steering has been happening for 1 month. I checked transmission fluid, it seems fine. What else could cause the jerky slow-speed movements? Also, I refilled coolant, which was completely empty, 5 days ago and the clunky jerkiness has not happened again since. Did the coolant fix this or is it a different problem? Thanks.
