We bought our car a few months ago from a private party. When we are driving and then we brake we hear a scrapping noise after a few seconds of stoping. sounds like we are dragging something.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Mariana, You may need a 4-wheel brake inspection, at times when your brake pads are low the metal indicator begins to scrape on the rotor. Double check and make sure that brush guard is sucure on the underside, this can become loose and cause a scrapping sound as well. I recommend that you begin with a brake inspection.
