My fuel pump and water pump and gaskets have been replaced about a year or so ago. I do not drive a lot but suddenly the water overflow container loses all the extra water and I have oil leaks which cause smoking when I drive. Is there a product I can put in the oil and water container to prevent leaks? I have no money for costly repairs. Thanks
You may need to check your valve cover gaskets, sometimes these leak down the back side of the engine and drop on the exhaust manifold. During the warm summer months you may have evaporated some coolant, I would refill to full line and monitor throughout the weeks. I do not recommend products added to the cooling system to stop leaks, as these can cause more costly repairs to follow.
